Before selling or distributing any Bluetooth®-enabled product, the product must complete the Bluetooth® Qualification Process established by Bluetooth SIG. The qualified product database, which contains information on all qualified products, is used by customs officials, distributors, and retailers to verify product qualification and identify potential violations. Upon successful completion, manufacturers can integrate Bluetooth technology and use the associated trademarks.
Bluetooth® Qualification Test Facility (BQTF)
A Bluetooth® Qualification Test Facility (BQTF) is recognized by the Bluetooth SIG as competent to execute Bluetooth Qualification Process test cases identified within the Test Case Reference List (TCRL) as “Category A at or below the Host Controller Interface (HCI) layer.” According to the qualification program reference document (QPRD), these tests are mandatory to be tested by BQTF.
If your test plan generated by Qualification Workspace indicates that a required test is Category A and to be performed at or below the HCI layer, you are required to provide test results from a Bluetooth® Qualification Test Facility for testing services. As a recognized BQTF, Intertek can perform these required tests and deliver official test results that are fully accepted by the Bluetooth SIG for your qualification process.
