Accelerating product safety and innovation for toys
Intertek Greater China recently sponsored and exhibited at the HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair 2026 - a platform for industry experts and stakeholders to converge and explore the latest trends, innovations, and regulatory updates within the toy industry.
Since its first fair in 1975, the HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair is Asia's premier, largest annual trade event for the toy industry held annually at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It acts as a major global gateway for sourcing, showcasing, and launching innovative products ranging from traditional toys to high-tech, smart-tech, and branded toys.
At our booth, designed around the theme "Speed to Market", the team highlighted our steadfast dedication to expediting the launch of safe and high-quality products while bolstering compliance with international standards in the toy sector. The centerpiece of the booth, a sleek and eye-catching design inspired by an F1 car, symbolised our focus on precision, pace and passion in bringing premium products to market.
Technical expert William Wong, Assistant General Manager, Laboratories, Hong Kong Toys and Hardlines, delivered insightful sessions on key industry topics, including the EU Toy Safety Regulation and the EU Package and Package Waste Regulations (PPWR) - offering attendees valuable knowledge and guidance to navigate EU regulatory frameworks effectively.
In the bustling atmosphere of the fair, our distinctive design stood out as a focal point for industry professionals seeking insights on toy safety and compliance. The interactive displays and engaging discussions at the booth offered attendees a firsthand look at our comprehensive safety solutions, reaffirming Intertek's position as a trusted partner in ensuring product quality.
