Driving Sustainable Textile Transformation Through Innovation, Compliance and Collaboration

Intertek Hong Kong was recently invited to be a keynote speaker at “Cotton ConneXions ▪ Insight to Impact” in Vietnam. Our General Manager of Softlines, Hong Kong, Jack Wong, delivered key insights on European Union regulatory updates for sustainable textile and apparel production, helping brands, mills, and manufacturers better understand evolving compliance requirements and their impact on global supply chains.

Organised by Cotton Incorporated, the “Cotton ConneXions ▪ Insight to Impact” conference offered a diverse platform to explore innovation and inspire new fabric ideas and developments around actionable ESG goals, physical and digital traceability, promoting environmentally sustainable cotton-rich products. It brought together industry players from textile and garment mills, as well as brands and retailers to bridge innovation and opportunity while reinforcing the commitment to a more sustainable, transparent, and high-performing textile future.

The one-day conference brought together more than 300 textile industry leaders from 140 companies across 10 countries, including 45 global brands, retailers, mills, and chemical suppliers. The event focused on driving cotton fibre innovation, addressing evolving market demands, and navigating shifting global regulations

This event provided an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange and meaningful dialogue with industry partners across the textile and apparel value chain. It also enabled us to strengthen our leadership in sustainable textiles by sharing practical insights, promoting best practices in compliance and sustainability, and demonstrating how our end-to-end solutions empower customers to transform regulatory complexity into strategic advantage.
