05 Apr 2026
In recognition of our outstanding contribution to compiling the "Technical Guidelines Report for Export Commodities – Toys (EU) 2025 Edition”
Recently, the Secretariat of the National Standardization Technical Committee of Standardization of Toys, entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of China, organised experts to develop the updated "Technical Guidelines Report for Export Commodities – Toys (EU) 2025 Edition”. William Lee, Assistant General Manager of China Toys & Hardlines, together with team members Ken Lee, Daniel Cheung, Erick Huang, Anny Fang, Jimmy Wen, Echo Chen, and Erik Dong, played a key role in developing this important guideline. Intertek China received commendation from the ministry for their contributions.
The guideline provides clear insights into the latest EU regulatory framework for toys. It thoroughly explains key differences from China's updated 2025 toy standards and systematically outlines the new compliance evidence chain requirements under the cross-border e-commerce export model.
Rachel Guo, Vice President of Intertek China Hardlines, said:
“China has been the world's largest exporter of toys, accounting for over 86% of global exports. This guideline serves as a valuable resource, helping Chinese companies better understand and meet EU compliance requirements for toy exports. We are deeply honoured to receive recognition from MOFCOM for our contributions and to demonstrate Intertek's expertise in developing such critical industry guidance.”
Sandeep Das, CEO Greater China and President Global Softlines and Hardlines, said:
“As a leading regional industry partner trusted by customers, government bodies, and institutions alike, this commendation further underscores our deep expertise and strong local connections. It highlights our commitment to supporting toy manufacturers in delivering products to global markets with quality, safety, and sustainability.”
