Setting the benchmark for PPE safety as the pioneer in China

Greater China Softlines Team introduced our Full Knee Pad Testing Service at our Guangzhou laboratory, positioning us as the first and only laboratory in China with full EN 14404 testing capability of the category.

The significance of this testing service is paramount, especially as the industrial knee pad market was estimated to witness an annual growth rate exceeding 15% by 2025, with high-protection products increasingly becoming the norm.

The EN 14404 certification is an essential requirement for products aiming to enter the European market and its growing adoption in supplier qualification criteria by major industry players reflects a broader push to elevate safety standards across China’s manufacturing sector.

Our Guangzhou laboratory is exemplified with advanced testing facilities for Knee Pad Testing, including the 5J Impact Testing Rig, Multi-channel Pressure Sensing Array, and Dynamic Fatigue Simulation Platform. With China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) Accreditation, our test reports are directly recognised by EU Notified Bodies, offering support for CE Marking Certification and ensuring the validity of assessments.

As the pioneering laboratory in China, we underscore the commitment to leadership in safety testing for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This milestone also emphasises our dedication to setting the benchmarks for PPE safety and quality in the region.
