Let's #RunForGirls - Empowering girls for positive change
On 5 April 2025, Intertek Hong Kong proudly participated in the charity campaign "Run for Girls! 2025," organised by Plan International and Cosmopolitan, with the aim of supporting girls in Nepal to combat gender inequality and prevent girls from falling victim to human trafficking.
The primary focus of "Run for Girls! 2025" is to raise funds to provide educational opportunities for Nepal girls who face significant challenges such as poverty, forced labor, violence, and exploitation, empowering them to create a brighter future.
During the event, the Hong Kong Team, along with their families, enthusiastically joined both the corporate run and the family run, emphasising the collective effort to make a positive impact on the lives of girls in need.
Intertek not only demonstrates its commitment to corporate social responsibility but also exemplifies how businesses can actively contribute to creating an ever-better world. Initiatives that prioritise education play a vital role in shaping a brighter future for communities worldwide.
Sandeep Das, CEO Greater China and President Global Softlines and Hardlines, said:
"I am very proud of our 11,000 employees and their families for actively participating in charitable events that support the community and protect the environment. Together, let’s make our world ever better for all walks of life."
