Intertek has been approved by the Ghana Standard Authority (GSA) to launch and operate the Ghana Conformity Assessment Program (G-CAP)
Every month, thousands of shipments to Ghana will require testing and inspection to ensure they meet environmental, health and safety standards, both nationally and internationally.
Are you exporting or importing products covered under the Ghanaian G-CAP program?
Are your products listed below?
- Chemical products
- Mechanical materials and gas-related appliances
- Wood pulp, paper, and paperboard materials and articles
- Furniture items (wood and metal articles)
- Textiles and textile articles (including African prints)
- Safety products (personal protective equipment)
- Food and food products
- Construction materials
- Selected medical devices and pharmaceuticals
- Used products (e.g. used clothing or used footwear as defined by GSA)
- Fuel and petroleum products
- Automotive products and used vehicles
If your product group is on the list, in the coming months the Ghanaian CoC under the G-CAP will be a compulsory requirement for importers and exporters in order to obtain customs clearance of goods into Ghana.
