From 31st August 2016, all shipments of regulated goods to Cameroon will require a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) to clear Customs.
The Agence des Normes et de la Qualité (ANOR)” in Cameroon, has implemented a Conformity Assessment Programme, PECAE, requiring that all shipments of regulated products require a Attestation of Conformity (AoC) from an approved service provider such as Intertek.
The AoC will be sent to ANOR for verification purposes. The verified AoC will be the basis upon which ANOR issues a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) to the Importer.
The CoC is compulsory and is necessary for shipments to clear customs.
The programme will be implemented for all shipments with a Bill of Lading or AWB date after the 31st of August 2016.
