Intertek Hong Kong
Themed “D2 Place X Intertek Protek Expo”, the exhibition has seen 20 exhibitors displaying anti-epidemic products tested by Intertek ranging from face masks, hand sanitizers, UV lamps, air purifiers and disinfectant sprays at their booths. The event was designed to instill a greater sense of importance of using safe and compliant anti-epidemic products, and illustrate how Intertek’s Protek can make a worthwhile contribution by helping company products and services to stand out from the rest of industry players, and giving the peace of mind to consumers for health, safety and wellbeing.
The Intertek Hong Kong team specially designed a game has organised the first Covid-19 products exhibition in Hong Kong at D2 Place – the prominent local shopping mall owned by LAWSGROUP. The event, held from June 26 to 28, successfully promoted Intertek’s newly launched Protek Programme and provided our customers a valuable opportunity to reach consumers directly to promote their Covid-19 products.
That allowed visitors to select their favorite product among all the exhibits, and voicing out on Intertek Hong Kong’s Facebook game post. Over 200 participants liked our page on site, added comments and shared the post with their friends to successfully win an Intertek’s signature umbrella or “anti-epidemic pack”.
Not only could visitors see and learn about different anti-pandemic products, but also listen to Intertek experts sharing tips for health, safety and welling at the exhibition. Pinky Chan, Technical Manager, Toys & Hardlines, introduced the importance of selecting quality sanitizers, and Michael Chow, Assistant Manager, Electricals shared with the floor tips of purchasing compliant air purifiers. Mandy Cheng, Food Safety Manager advised the public ways to choose hygienic caterers and restaurants. We were also pleased to welcome Dr. Simon Lam, Assistant Professor, School of Nursing from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, to present his insights from his research regarding the protective function of masks and how to choose a good mask.
William Hui, Production Manager, Homey Bliss says: “It’s our pleasure to exhibit our masks at the Intertek Protek exhibition, which has given us the chance to meet with many industry players and consumers. Assuring that our masks comply with international standards during this critical time is important and we thank Intertek for being our trusted partner to support our development of quality and safe products.”
Jeff Lee, Director, LEE Garment says: “It’s never easy to start developing a new product, especially during this period of time. With the encouragement of Intertek’s staff and our common vision to make the world an ever better place, we overcame the obstacles and are proud to bring our eco-friendly Nanofit Protect Fabric Masks to life which contribute to the fight against the pandemic in a more sustainable manner.”
Patrick S. Lee, Intertek Greater China Joint CEO, said: “With this event and our newly launched Protek solutions, we are taking our brand to the next level by growing it as a household brand. It is hoped that the importance of choosing safe and compliant products will resonate with the visitors and they will bring home the idea and share it with their families and friends.”
