Building Environmental Assessment Method Plus (BEAM Plus)

BEAM Plus is the Hong Kong's leading initiative to offer independent assessments of building sustainability performance. BEAM Plus New Buildings covers the demolition, planning, design, construction, and commissioning of a new building project. It can also be applied to major renovations, alterations, and additions. By adopting an affordable range of best practices, it seeks to reduce environmental impacts of a new building, improve environmental quality, and enhance user satisfaction.
Intertek provides the project management service including energy review, energy simulation in building design and document review services for the BEAM Plus Labelling Scheme. We are providing two steps of advisory services:

Pre-assessment Service:

To review your building situation and on-hand materials, provide gap analysis in achieving the rating and advise alternative solutions of supplementary testing and measures.

Helpdesk Service:

To consolidate the materials for the requirements of application and offer.

WELL v2

WELL v2 is a global performance-based building standard and was piloted in 2018, launched in 2020 and built based on the foundation of WELL v1. Intertek Hong Kong can provide the following services for owners, consultants, and all kinds of building material suppliers to achieve global performance-based building standard WELL v2:
• Field performance testing consulting and pre-testing for WELL building certification
• Testing for building materials
• Performance verification for WELL building certification on behalf of GBCI

Carbon Footprints

Life Cycle Assessment is a method for looking holistically at the environmental impacts of products or services from cradle to grave. The outcome of a life cycle assessment is a science-based measure of environmental performance.
Product Carbon Footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with a product (or service or business or organization), along its entire life cycle or a given time frame. It is often expressed and measured in terms of the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2). Intertek's WWF LOOP and LCMP services help you enhance operational efficiencies and improve bottom-line & productivity, overcome regulatory challenges and track carbon footprints through the supply chain.
