Low Carbon

Life Cycle Assessment is a method for looking holistically at the environmental impacts of products or services from cradle to grave. The outcome of a life cycle assessment is a science-based measure of environmental performance.
Product Carbon Footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with a product (or service or business or organization), along its entire life cycle or a given time frame. It is often expressed and measured in terms of the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2). Intertek's WWF LOOP and LCMP services help you enhance operational efficiencies and improve bottom-line & productivity, overcome regulatory challenges and track carbon footprints through the supply chain.
• Low Carbon Office Operation Programme (LOOP)
• Low Carbon Manufacturing Programme (LCMP)
• Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
• Product Carbon Footprint (PCF)

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

Consumers today are looking for companies they can trust — companies that align with their own values and have the same beliefs that they do. Investors, meanwhile, are seeking more transparency beyond strong ESG claims and policies. They are looking to truly understand the risks to the businesses they are supporting. Reporting on non-financial data, such as Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) metrics, can be a powerful tool for companies to set goals, measure performance, and manage change in order to make their operations more sustainable and align with the values of their investors and customers. Through sustainability reporting, organizations are able to understand and communicate the risks and opportunities they face from their corporate activities.

Intertek conducts carbon/energy audit, and below approach steps in ESG advisory service:
1. Provide gap analysis in existing materials
2. Offer awareness training for staff
3. Collect stakeholder concerns by stakeholder engagement
4. Materiality assessment to find out the significant impacts
5. Consolidate existing environmental and social information
6. Provide data review based on environmental KPI and result from the following 2 items
7. Deliver energy audit for energy efficiency measures, energy analysis and improvement plan review
8. Conduct carbon audit to collect carbon emission data
9. Report review based on HKEX ESG reporting as well as other sustainability standards, e.g. GRI standard

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a worldwide green building certification program developed by the non-profit U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). It includes a set of rating systems for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of green buildings, homes, and neighborhoods to help building owners and operators use resources efficiently and be environmentally responsible.
