General Mills - ESP Audit Programme

Helping Häagen-Dazs achieve most stringent food safety standards to protect public health during the pandemic

Intertek Hong Kong has partnered with General Mills Hong Kong on Häagen-Dazs' Environment, Service, Product (ESP) audit programme to ensure the best food hygienic practices at all catering outlets in Hong Kong.


Since mid-2019, Intertek Hong Kong's Food Service Team has been working closely with General Mills, one of the world's largest food companies, on the ESP audit programme of Häagen-Dazs. Under the programme, Intertek has conducted on-site hygiene inspection on every Häagen-Dazs store biannually.

Intertek has been at the forefront of safeguarding the health and safety of the general public, while Häagen-Dazs has continuously surpassed themselves in upholding excellent food hygienic practices. Being the leader of the premium ice-cream category, Häagen-Dazs stores were assured to be exceptional in terms of food hygiene and safety. Intertek acknowledged General Mills Hong Kong's devoted and extensive effort towards the public health, especially in the face of adversity of an economic downturn and a global pandemic.
