Surveys have indicated that, when shopping for a toy, over 80% of consumers in Japan consider product safety first. As a leading quality-assurance service provider in the toys, games, and premiums industry, with over 1,000 laboratories and offices worldwide, Intertek adds value for its customers by helping improve the quality and safety of their products.
Intertek is a global independent third-party laboratory, and has been approved by the Japan Toy Association (JTA) as an ST Overseas Approved Testing Laboratory*. Intertek is also a foreign official laboratory designated by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) as qualified to perform an extensive range of services under the Japan Food Sanitation Law (JFSL), regardless of the place of manufacture. One Test Two Reports
We offer a cost-effective approach to ensure the full compliance of your products with all applicable Japan toy requirements. Needing to be tested once only with pass results, a toy product can fulfil both the mandatory requirements of the JFSL as well as the voluntary requirements of ST Part 3.
With a dedicated team of technical experts and native Japanese-speaking staff, Intertek Hong Kong is always ahead of the needs of our Japanese clients and the relevant market trends. In 2015, we have taken this one step further by being one of the few foreign testing laboratories to offer test reports in Japanese. By eliminating the language barrier, we help facilitate a smoother customs-clearance process and thus support the expansion of your business in the local market.
